Republic Day Poems
How long should one sleep on a National Holiday?
Isn’t these many Years enough?
We don’t look forward to 26th Jan as Republic day.
But only as day, we could sleep till late.
Get up India. Rise and Shine !
Na thi kisi ki himmat koi aankh na dikhata tha
Ab kaha chali gyi hain humari androoni shakti
Gila sikhwa dur kar prem ka ban chalana hoga
Yahi pegaam hume pahuchana hoga basto basti
Hume humare desh ko wahi esthan dilana hoga
Humare mein hi hain humare desh ki shakti
Hum mein hi hai humare rashtra ki shakti
Humari desh bhakti hi hain humari shakti
“Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been
broken up into fragments by
narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from
the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches
its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason
has not lost its way into the dreary
desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is lead forward by thee
into ever-widening thought and action-
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father,
let my country awake.”
“Geetanjali”
– Rabindranath Tagore
Swami Yogananda Paramhansa
Better than Heaven or Arcadia
I love thee, O my India!
And thy love I shall give
To every brother nation that lives.
God made the Earth;
Man made confining countries
And their fancy-frozen boundaries.
But with unfound boundless love
I behold the borderland of my India
Expanding into the World.
Hail, mother of religions, lotus, scenic beauty, and sages!
Thy wide doors are open,
Welcoming God’s true sons through all ages.
Where Ganges, woods, Himalayan caves, and
men dream God –
I am hallowed; my body touched that sod.
– Swami Yogananda Paramhansa
Sarojini Naidu
Is there ought you need that my hands withhold,
Rich gifts of raiment or grain or gold?
Lo ! I have flung to the East and the West
Priceless treasures torn from my breast,
And yielded the sons of my stricken womb
To the drum-beats of the duty, the sabers of doom.
Gathered like pearls in their alien graves
Silent they sleep by the Persian waves,
Scattered like shells on Egyptian sands,
They lie with pale brows and brave, broken hands,
they are strewn like blossoms mown down by chance
On the blood-brown meadows of Flanders and France.
Can ye measure the grief of the tears I weep
Or compass the woe of the watch I keep?
Or the pride that thrills thro’ my heart’s despair
And the hope that comforts the anguish of prayer?
And the far sad glorious vision I see
Of the torn red banners of victory?
when the terror and the tumult of hate shall cease
And life be refashioned on anvils of peace,
And your love shall offer memorial thanks
To the comrades who fought on the dauntless ranks,
And you honour the deeds of the dauntless ones,
Remember the blood of my martyred sons!
The Gift of India
– Sarojini Naidu
Poems in English:
MY India!
“O My Nation My India”
Wants to worship you
Wants to be stuck on you
Everything which is mine
Wants to sacrifice on you
Way of life it amid you
Name of your, strength me
Fame of your, arrogant me
How I am gratitude to god
That he gave birth on the
Planet of your “O India”
I always feel to be proud
That you give me a peaceful
Place in your heart “O India”
Always salute you!
Always salute you!
Vande Matram
I LOVE TRICOLOR!
Color my heart, into tricolor
Left one with orange
Gives me courage and trained me to do sacrifice
Right one is filled with green
Have faith and make others one
Where ever when I go, the taste of happiness
Always found
And O God please fills
White into middle
that I can passage a feast of
Calm and peace
And never let down to any one in my reach
Please fill these tricolors on me
Please fill this tricolor on me
Vande Matram

Patriotic Republic Day Poems in English
Let’s celebrate Republic Day
With pomp and splendour
With brothers and sisters
But never forget
To remember
Remember the Freedom struggle
Remember the sacrifices of soldiers
The great freedom fighters
Remember the sacrifices of leaders
The great sons of the soil
Who died for the country
Fighting together
To attain freedom
Let’s pay homage from heart’s bottom
To the great dedicated sons
Who laid their lives into flame
Without name and fame
For the mother land
Joining hand in hand
With fellow citizens
Republic Day Poems in Hindi:
Karo yaad tum oon veeron ko,
jinki sarhad par jaan gayi.
karo yaad oon baalaon ko,
jinki iss ran mein aan gayi.
karo yaad oon mataaon ko,
jinke apane priya sut khoye.
karo yaad oon behano ko,
jo rakshabandhan par sheyein.
lahoo baha kar simaaon par,
aman chain ka fool khilaaya.
apane praano ki bali dekar,
Bharat maa ka maan badhaya.
sarahad par mar mitane waale,
ajar amar sab ho jayenge,
mar ka bhi hum inn veeron ka,
kaise karz chuka paayenge.
Desh banta tha jab tukdo mein,
Patel ne tha kiya tha yogdaan.
fir hua akhand sada ko,
mera Bharat desh mahaan.
Uttar mein Himalaya shobhit,
jo hai isaki uttam shaan.
dakshin mein sagar ki leharein,
karti hain isaka gungaan.
Bhasha boli alag alag hain,
fir bhi sabka hai samman.
purab se lekar paschim tak,
saara ik hai Hindustan.
Hai Bharat ki shaan tirangaa,
isako na jhukne denge hum,
veeron ki kurbaani ko,
vyarth na jaane dengein hum.
Bharat maa ke sewak hain hum,
maa ki raksha hum karengein,
buri niyat se jo dekhega,
uska khatma hum karengein.
di sharan hai humne tab-tab,
jab koi hai sankat aaya,
khud bhukhe rah kar bhi hum ne,
sharanarathi ko khana khilaya.
jahaan hai behati gyaan ki dhaara,
wo Bharat humein hai jaan se pyara,
Sita Ram ki dharati hai jo,
aisa Bharat desh humaara.
na jaati na bhasha dekhi,
sabko apna mit banaaya,
mila jo bhi humein pyaar se,
sabko ‘Deep’ gale lagaaya.
“Host the flag of Triumph and Victory
To shine India’s glorious beauty
We are Republicans we have liberty
We are crowned with largest democracy.
With informant of grand constitution
We are prided sovereign nation.
This is the day to blow the trumpet
Of absolute freedom and self-reliance
Host the flag of absolute sovereignty
For peace, for pride and sole prosperity
Be exulted and offer your hymns
Host the flag and sing the anthems.
Sing for nation’s crowned dignity
For all her men, her sole serenity”
“Hum Bharat maa ke pyare hain,
Bharat humko pyara hai.
shish kataaye hain seema par,
maa ne agar pukara hai,
isake parvat jharne pyare,
isaki nadiyaan pyari hain,
isaki dharti swarn ugalti,
iski aabha nyari hai.
satya, ahinsa manta ko,
dharma banaya Bharat ne
unnati path par badhte jaana,
karm banaya Bharat ne
Bharat ke sab Bharatwaasi,
aman chain ke rakhwaale hain
kintu samay aa pade kathin to,
shoorveer himmar waale hain.”
Hum Bharat maa ke pyare hain,
Bharat humko pyara hai.
shish kataaye hain seema par,
maa ne agar pukara hai.
isake parvat jharne pyare,
isaki nadiyaan pyari hain.
isaki dharti swarn ugalti,
iski aabha nyari hai.
satya, ahinsa manavta ko,
dharm banaya Bharat ne.
unnati path par badhte jaana,
karm banaya Bharat ne.
Bharat ke sab Bharatwaasi,
aman chain ke rakhwaale hain,
kintu samay aa pade kathin to,
shoorveer himmat waale hain.
Hai bharat ki shaan tiranga,
Isko na jhukne denge hum,
Veeron ki kurbani ko,
Vayarth na jane denge hum
Bharat maa ke sewak hain hum,
Buri niyat se jo dekhega,
Uske khatma hum kareinge,
Di sharan hai humne tb-tb,
Jb koi hai sankat aaya,
Khud bhukhe reh kar bhi hum ne,
Sharanarthi ko khana khilaya,
Jahan hai behti gayan ki dhara,
Vo bharat hume hai jaan se payara,
Sita ram ki dharti hai jo,
Esa bharat desh hamara,
Na jati na bhasha dekhi,
Sabko apna meet banaya,
Mila job hi humein payar se,
Sbko deep gale lagaya.
Sarhad ki har had par tum ho,
Dushman ki har zid par tum ho !
Lete hain jo swtantra saans hum,
Us har saans ke rakshak tum ho !!
Kabhi kargil me rakhwali,
Ya ho mumbai me goli-baari !
Inse jo befikra banaye,
Us har soch ke rakshak tum ho !
Dharti kanpe ya aaye sunaami,
Ho jeewan ki aankhon me pani !
Har mushkil se raahat dekar,
Us raahat ke rakshak tum ho !
Karte hain jhuk-kar salam hum,
Tum ho to na kabhi gulaam hum !
Kabhi jo khaaye dar hum sabko,
Us Zalim dar ke bhakshak tum ho !!

Jahan har chij hai pyaari,
Sabhi chahat ke pujari
pyaari jiski jabban
vahi hai mera hindustani
jahan galib ki gajal
vo pyara taj mahal hai
pyar ka ek nishan
vahi hai mera hindistani
jahan phulon ka bistar hai
jahan ambar ki chadar hai
najar tak faila sagar hai
suhana har ik manjar hai
vo jharne aur hawaein
sbhi mil jul kr gayein
payar ka geet jahan
vahi hai mera Hindustan
jahan suraj ki thali hai
jahan chan ki payali hai
fiza bhi kya dilwali hai
kbhi holi toh kbhi diwali hai
vo bindiya chunri payal
vo saari mehandi kajal
rangella hai sama
vahi hai mera Hindustan
kahin galliyon mein bhangra hai
kahin thele mein ragda hai
hajaron kismein aamon ki
ye chausa to vo langda
lo fir swatantar divas aaya
tiranga sbne lehraya
lekar fire yahan-vahan
vahi hai mera Hindustan…..

“Teen rangoan ka bana tiranga
nirmal Ganga ki dhara
iss par saare mugdh Bharatvanshi
sabki aankhon ke taara
praanon ki wah bali charha di
kitne veer humare
hans-hans ke sab goli khaye
Bharat maa ke dulare
Dharm jaariyan bhinn yahaa ki
hai sabka bada dulara
gungaate hain iske saare
praanon se bhi hai pyara
Unche-unche parvat raja
neel gagan hai nyara
duniya mein sabko hai pyara
Bharat desh humara”
