Late evening, on the first of May –
The twilit May – the time of love.
Meltingly called the turtle-dove,
Where rich and sweet pinewoods lay.
Whispered of love the mosses trail,
The flowering tree as sweetly lied,
The rose’s fragrant sigh replied
To love-songs of the nightingale.
In shadowy woods the burnished lake
Darkly complained a secret pain,
By circling shores embraced again;
And heaven’s clear sun leaned down to take
A road astray in azure deeps,
Like burning tears the lover weeps.
Dear Love,
I miss you, I really do. Even though I see you everyday, am with you at every moment, yet still I miss you. And when you think about it, how could you possibly miss someone constantly in your thoughts, in your dreams in your fantasies? I guess I still can’t believe that you’re here with me now at this moment … God I’m blushing!
There are no words that can possibly explain how I feel right now, because in fact, I’ve never felt this before … sounds so cliché doesn’t it? But that’s a fact that I can never hide just like the blush on my cheeks … always visible manifestations of the love I feel inside.
