Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi is one of the most important festivals in India. Rakhi ceremony is celebrated in each year on the month of August which is the month of Shravan. Example in 2014, Rakhi will be celebrated on Sun, August 10. Rakhi celebration is the festival of monsoon. Raksha Bandhan ceremony or  ‘Shravani’, organized on the day of Rakhi Purnima has special significance for the farmer community of different parts of India. Rakhi signifies the innocent love and care between a brother and sister and on this day, every sister ties a thread of love and affection called rakhi around here brother’s wrist.
